Job Details
Supplying high end hotels, restaurants, as well as caterers, our client is an award-winning food business, enjoying an outstanding reputation for quality and innovation. They are looking to expand their sales team by appointing a National Accounts Manager.
Key Accountabilities
The key elements for the role will be establishing relationships with key wholesalers as well as contract caterers and event/venue catering organisations. It is crucial for this role that you have had exposure to these accounts in the past. Consolidate current business and exploring new opportunities as well as developing new channels for distribution and sales of these delicious products. Working closely with customers, building long term relationships and maximising potential sales, you will be a driven and enthusiastic foodie, with a passion for the industry. A strategic thinker with excellent planning and organisation skills to combine the use of personal selling and all promotional tools to increase sales. Delivering excellent customer service, a clear understanding of the industry and customer needs. Working closely with other departments, you will work closely as liaison between the customer and the NPD chefs, logistics, buying and finance.
Personal Profile
Experience within sales is important but working within wholesale, foodservice and catering will be a distinct advantage
Organised and able to manage schedules
An outgoing, friendly and positive mindset
A can-do attitude, with a constructive and problem-solving approach
An independently motivated character who also works well as part of a team
Commercially driven, a curious nature and a passion for sales
A cheffing background would be advantageous, an enthusiasm for food is essential
Full, clean driving licence
Good relationship builder, with excellent communication and presentation skills
A full-time position, lots of travel across the UK
Package will include car allowance and performance bonus as well as travel allowance.
