This role is working for an international, high-quality, food industry business which has several production facilities located across Europe.
About the Interim Technical Manager job
You will be responsible for guaranteeing the quality and food safety of all the products sold in the UK (both brands and private label).
You will implement, report, and monitor the actions related to the quality management system for the production facilities and be responsible for their coordination to maintain quality standards, in accordance with the company strategy and procedures.
Skills & experience required for the Interim Technical Manager job
You will be a results-orientated and driven individual, who can demonstrate a strong understanding of operating integrity, with high standards for compliance and quality.
You will have a strong technical management track record within food manufacturing and solid experience within the meat processing sector is essential.
Ideally educated to MSc level (or BSc as a minimum) in a food related subject, you will also possess experience supplying own-label products to the UK major retailers.
The Interim Technical Manager job is a home-based role, paying a negotiable day rate according to your experience. Some travel may be required to visit company offices as necessary.
This is an interim contract starting in July 2022 and finishing in at least January 2024; this could be extended to April 2023.
