We at Sweetland London are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Auditor who is passionate about food and quality to manage our quality systems internally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Testing and sampling products, ensuring they meet set standards and specifications
Developing quality control policies and standards for the company to follow
Training staff members on the quality control processes and policies
Overseeing quality control processes, and a team of QA specialists
Conducting in-house audits of product inventory and documentation
Confirming all products are properly labeled before output
Investigating customer complaints
Ensuring safety procedures and processes
Assessing operational data and identifying quality problems
Establishing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability in the organization, as well as put out higher quality goods
In addition to the above responsibilities, our Quality Assurance Auditor must communicate with the larger company about their observations and findings. If a product has a defect, or does not meet the intended measurements for example, this knowledge will need to be passed to the production team. On a daily basis, Quality Assurance Auditors are in touch with customer satisfaction, product performance and production departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven related experience in the Food & Beverage / Food Production industries
Experience of quality management systems implementation and review
Experienced carrying out audits based on BRC & Customer audits
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well and thrive under pressure
Have a high attention to detail
Will adapt quickly to changes and new lines, concepts, and innovation
Exposure to and understanding of implementation of OHSAS, food safety, HACCP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
Computer skills: MS Office, Windows
Food Science / related Degree or equivalent
