Job Details

Are you a Technical Manager who is an expert in Fresh Produce and/or Horticulture?
Do you have specific experience of working with various industry related schemes such as LEAF, Global Gap, OHAS, Red Traktor and many other similar certifications?
Would you like the flexibility of working primarily from home?

Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for all technical aspects of schemes under your responsibility (LEAF, OHAS, other EMEA based certification/addenda).
Oversee the development and maintenance of quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance with internal KPIs, KPIs of the standards owners, and accreditation requirements. Maintaining current program accreditations. 
Maintain relationship with scheme ownership to ensure compliance with relevant KPI expectations.
Ensure application of scheme requirements globally.
Establish requirements for auditors, reviewers, technical individuals.
Design and provide training for all technical resources and auditors.
Attend accredited audits and any other activity mandated by the CPOs, - follow up on non-conformances.
Responsible to follow up on complaints, appeals, recalls, suspensions, withdrawals.
Support the strategy to grow the schemes globally.
Attend industry events to promote schemes. 

Key Skills Required:
Education in Agriculture or a related field and/or previous experience in agriculture.
Excellent understanding of the operation of third party Certification Schemes within the Agricultural sectors.
Five-year experience and full technical knowledge of the schemes.
Ability to make difficult and innovative decisions, approaching them in a fair and logical way.
Challenges conventional thinking, respects legacy strengths but moves quickly to add capabilities and drive change.
Problem solving skills, establishing root causes and what actions are required to prevent recurring issues.
Ability to organise and prioritise the workloads of self and team.
Motivated, willingness to learn and positive attitude.
