Are you looking for a new and exciting Technical Manager position, where you will be managing a specific category and supplier base? Ideally you will have experience within the meat industry and various meat products.

Approve, audit and manage bespoke suppliers of food and drinks on behalf of our clients
Develop, implement and review supplier guidelines and internal standards
Evaluate, record, review, improve supplier performance and review product specifications and data sheets
Establish and develop relationships with all partners in the supply chain from suppliers through to customers
Ensure that new products are manufactured in accordance with the client’s requirements
Maintain and update supplier records
Represent clients when auditing suppliers, working on Industry panels and liaising with external bodies
Key Skills Required:
Degree in either Food Science/Food Technology/Environmental Health
Ideally you will have a proven track record within a food manufacturing and retail environment
Experience with various food products including fresh, chilled and/or ambient, although exposure in chilled high risk products would be highly desirable
Must have excellent verbal, written communication skills, a high level of numeracy and good negotiation skills
Be able to work alone and as part of a team, and be able to liaise with customers, colleagues and suppliers at a number of levels.
