About Our Client

The business we are recruiting for is a well-known business currently operating a haulage fleet of 12 HGV's with bulk tipper trailers. Over the years, the business has developed the operation, growing their site to allow nearly 100 tonnes of storage and processing.

About the Role

As Transport Assistant, you will work alongside and closely to the Transport Manager, to ensure that the Transport department of this business is running efficiently and effectively throughout the year. You will help across other business functions to ensure that the supply chain and departments are aware of the needs of the team and fleet. You will manage documentation and record accordingly and ensure the Transport compliance documentation is maintained. Ultimately you will be the Transport Managers right-hand man, and provide cover when on holiday or away from the business.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience within Transport/Haulage/Weighbridge environments would be fantastic and beneficial for this role and allow you to hit the ground running in a busy business. Compliance experience would be ideal, but not necessary. As a given, strong communication and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the business and teams.
