MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be responsible for Health & Safety program to ensure compliance with statutory duty and McCormick standards.
• Guide and assist Safety Committee and representatives to meet programs and activities required by local law (including workplace audits and accident investigations).
• Follow up implementation of Safety/Security/Environment initiatives.
• Develop Policies and Procedures for Safety/Security/Environment related activities and ensures appropriate communication.
• Ensure that accident or incident investigations are conducted in a timely manner and follow up action plan.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic Safety/Security/Environmental KPI.
• Source and procure safety related consumables & equipment as necessary.
• Provide subject matter support during design and installation of new equipment.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Previous experience as Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental Supervisor or Coordinator.
• Previous experience in Accident and Incident Investigation.
• Understanding of leading and lagging safety indicators and the use of Safety Data to drive safety initiatives and promote best practices.
• Competent PC Skills - Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with an ability to gain trust, confidence, and respect of all internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to establish strong working relationships and effective communication with line managers and employees across the organization.
• Experience mentoring/supervising employees.
• Experience in a highly automated process environment would be beneficial.
• Experience of Construction, Design and Management would be beneficial.
• NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or equivalent would be beneficial.
