Excellent opportunity for a Production Manager to join a well-established food business in Hertfordshire in a Monday to Friday days-based role!

Our client has maintained market leadership for several years and with lots of exciting growth plans in place already, this is the perfect time to join their journey!

Reporting into the General Manager, the Production Manager will be accountable for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the factory, you will often be the most senior person on site due to the GM having other sites to look after so my client is looking for an individual with a real gravitas who they can trust!

As Production Manager, you will have direct accountability for manufacturing KPIs and all factory operations including production, packaging, food safety, health and safety, hygiene, planning, and scheduling etc.

Leading a team of 50 strong, you will need to be influential in your approach, offering training, coaching, and mentorship where necessary. As you will be working collaboratively with all departments and third-party suppliers, you'll need to be an effective communicator too.

To be considered for this role you will have operated at production management level before within the food production industry and have a thorough understanding of broad food operations.
