Job Details

Your demands; Job satisfaction and security, personal development, progression, and a sense of achievement, every day, with work-life balance. Here you go then…

You are either working in restaurants or hotels looking for another option or already within food manufacturing searching for the next step. The next role must provide job security, career advancement, up-skilling, and improved benefits. You're not bored, but maybe frustrated with where your career is heading/stalling. This opening to join one of the world's biggest food companies is the answer.

As a Manufacturing Chef, you report into the Executive Site Chef and support the Production, Technical, and NPD teams as part of the New Product Integration team producing more than two million ready meals, each week.

Here you will be key in ensuring those meals leave the factory for supermarkets across Ireland and the UK. It really is something else, knowing you have played a crucial role in feeding millions of people each week, filling their fridges and freezers with some of the nation's favourite food brands.

You're tasked with supporting projects, managing recipe development, scaling-up and then running factory trials, analysing data, before going to full production. You'll enjoy implementing, monitoring, and maintaining high standards of finished products.

This role sees you act as the food ambassador to the internal business - helping educate your colleagues, informing them of your product ranges and the wider food trends. On-site hospitality with auditors, customers, and suppliers as your guests, keep you actively cooking and serving exciting meals when they visit.

You won't get cabin fever either, as travel is part of the role as you visit customers and suppliers across the country and sometimes the UK too.

Your Chef career to date will ultimately provide much of the qualities required, but in addition we'd look for…
  • A methodical and logical mindset
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Computer skills (excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for reaching targets and going the extra mile for the greater good
  • A self-starter - builds partnerships and fosters relationships with colleagues and peers
  • Factory experience and/or NPD experience within manufacture would be an advantage

Usual hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 - 5pm, although there are occasions when you'll stay later or start earlier when necessary. Still, that offers you plenty of free time outside of work to enjoy life.

This really is a role that can see you put your Chef qualities to great use, securing a future that is genuinely bright and full of possibilities. Don't hesitate, if keen, get your application sent with an updated CV for immediate consideration.
