About our Client

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are working with a leading grower and packer of fresh produce, who has a purpose-built, state of the art packhouse and High Care processing factory. They supply into leading retailers and food service customers 52 weeks a year and are looking to recruit a Quality Control Manager.



About the Role

This fantastic Quality Control Manager opportunity is ideal for someone wanting to lead a large team across two factories, develop the QMS and drive quality improvement plans with suppliers, participate is customer and supplier audits, manage the supplier approval process, handle customer specifications, and working with the senior management team to ensure food safety and compliance is inline with customer codes of practice,



The Ideal Candidate

For this role you will be currently working as a Quality Control Manager / QA Manager within a fresh produce/food manufacturing business, you will have a good working knowledge of retailer standards, knowledge of high and low-risk production, experience of QMS, good experience of leading and developing a large team, have HACCP and Food safety certification. Experience in BRC Food Safety Standard, retail customer standards and managing 3rd party audits, and supplier audit requirements would be advantageous You will have excellent communication skills across the board and have a flexible approach to work.
