Position Purpose And Primary Accountabilities
  • Co-ordinate and lead internal Quality Management Systems
  • Owner of Hold and Release process ensuring RCA and CAPA have been effectively identified and are actioned before timely closure
  • Use the DMAIC process/problem solving tools to improve Quality metrics
  • Monitoring budget spend and reporting to Quality Manager
  • Work closely with Quality admin on complaint investigation and driving continuous improvement
  • Participate/lead in HACCP meetings and own updates relating to HACCP on site
  • Voice of QFS team in upcoming site projects and identifying and owning the actions to drive them for effective closure with support from wider QFS team & project stakeholders
  • Training and coaching of front line teams:
    • In new and existing quality and regulatory systems (validation and refresher training)
    • Understanding of QMS, BRC and the implementation thereof
    • Understand behaviours and support behavioural change at point of value via coaching GEMBAs
  • Drive and own site compliance to standards (BRC, AIB) via GEMBAs, verification audits etc.
  • Active participation in site external audits
  • Guardian of site compliance to legal & regulatory standards (e.g. weight control)
  • Owner of concessions and variances
  • Owner of Traceability and Mock exercises
  • Provide SAP QM support to site team as and where required
  • Driving the agenda of food safety culture




QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES
  • Post A Level qualification (BSc; BTech or Food Tech)
  • Previous audit experience either as an auditor or as an auditee specifically in a quality environment
  • Experience of implementation and maintenance of Quality management systems
  • Knowledge of quality systems & processes (e.g. SPC, weight control & auditing)
  • Experience of using management information systems such as SAP, etc
  • HACCP Level 2 or above
  • Food Safety, Allergens, HACCP, Internal Auditing


Required Competencies:
  • Strong decision making based on facts, risks and information gathered
  • Strong ability to audit against process and product specifications
  • Ability to trouble shoot quality issues in a fast pace production environment
  • Facilitation of root cause analysis with excellent analytical / problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage a variety of work streams concurrently and prioritise workload with clear objective to meet project timelines
  • Ability to work autonomously and seek advice/ escalate issues as required
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills MS Office, SAP
  • Previous experience in people management desired

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic team and challenging environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage ever changing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decision making at different levels
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills
