Quality Technologist

The Company

This innovative, budding company are making real waves in the industry. They are aiming to create dynamic, healthy and sustainable products for major retail customers across the UK. Currently building a shiny new factory, they are seeking a Quality Technologist to join their mission and act as the architect for their future success.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will champion quality for the new purpose-built site, acting as the go-to professional for any quality issues or queries. The new site aims to be the first of its kind in the UK, allowing sustainable and innovative production techniques for natural products; therefore you will be tasked with implementing and managing quality management systems, seeking solutions and dynamic ways of working to ensure production success. A key responsibility of the role will be to achieve the site’s first BRC accreditation and you will be a pivotal player in helping to make this happen.

The role will also see you work practically in the factory to manage trials and samples, investigate non-conformances and ensure food and safety standards are met throughout. You will have the support to broaden your professional capabilities by communicating with key customers, learning how to present and meet the demands of leading retailers in the UK.

The Person

The company have an exciting and ambitious future ahead, so they are keen to find an adaptable and dynamic food professional who is looking to expand their existing skillset and help them set the food world alight. If you have achieved a Food Science degree, or similar and have 1-2 years of industry experience ideally in a technical/ quality focused role, within a BRC accredited environment then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

To succeed in the role you will have good industry know-how, keeping up to date with market trends and technical advances that could improve food production. You will find joy in communicating across all levels of a business, happy to identify an issue and work collaboratively to find a solution. You will also be a determined and reliable individual who is happy to wear many different hats and will take pride in being part of a rapidly expanding company who aim to make positive changes to the food industry.

A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential for this position.
