THE UK RETAILER CONTROLLER
The purpose of the UK Retailer Controller is to provide strategic direction, leadership, and management of the Team, ensuring that all sales activities contribute towards our client's growth and profitability targets. Other key responsibilities will include:This role will be focussed on the commercial management of client clusters through respective client managers and teams, seeking to maximise sustainable profitable growth. To build strong relationships and interface superbly across multiple functions and levels. Working cross functionally both internally and externally, you are responsible for all aspects of the client relationship(s) in your portfolio.The key objectives will be to drive sales, profit, service usage and visibility within the agreed client portfolio, achieving and exceeding set targets and budget and taking responsibility for developing an effective strategy to achieve Business Plan objectives. The role will have direct and indirect line management responsibilitySetting the strategic business development plan for the clients and/or market sectors you are responsible for.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, organised candidate who is eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will need the ability to make decisions and prioritise whilst keeping up communications internally as well as with the client, other stakeholders and suppliers. Other key attributes will include:
Proven experience of negotiating with retailers or large food manufacturersIdeally the UK Retailer Controller will have knowledge of the food technical and regulatory processes and ideally experience of working for a supplier to a major retailer. Understanding of the product development processes is an advantage. Must be experienced in dealing with clients and communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation. They will have excellent diplomacy and negotiation skills.Project Management
