Maintenance Manager

Client

I am working with an exceptional client of mine in Northeast England who are well-established and highly regarded within the industry. At present, they are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer Manager to join a strong and stable team of professionals. The right candidate will be a team player and an experienced individual who can bring a wealth of knowledge to the team and have a self-starter attitude.

What’s on offer?

Salary: up to £45,000

Working hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 17:00

The Role

• Demonstrates leadership in health & safety. Ensures all engineering and maintenance activities on site meet the appropriate health and safety standards. Provides and monitors maintenance performance against defined KPI’s, taking immediate corrective action and developing systemic preventative actions to address variances. Communicates key messages on performance or impending issues that may affect plant or production performance.  Engages with functional teams in a positive and professional manner. Understands customer needs, building a track record for professionalism and credibility in responding to and communicating issues and solutions. Support or leads the daily and weekly tiered Engineering meetings to review priorities and planned maintenance activities, escalating as required. Motivates the team through effective leadership, coaching, people management and development including.

The Ideal Candidate

• Electrical or Mechanical qualification, diploma, or degree (Level 3 or above)
• Previous experience of working within a Food environment Excellent fault-finding ability PLC fault finding (desirable) Proven track record of building solid working relationships Knowledge in Engineering and Maintenance best practice Proficient in the use of computers (MS Office, CMMS etc)
