Development Chef, Greater Manchester

Menus offer choice & we all want a choice. Have you got options to create the latest dirty burger, or a meat free alternative for those on a health kick?


This is a Development Chef position, based in Manchester, that offers you the chance to work with a range of customers. Branded restaurants, grocery retailers, third party manufacturers, basically, all those that provide choice and excellent food options to trusting customers.


You'll be making a variety of ready meals from on-trend meat free alternatives, to pan Asian, Mediterranean, Modern British, and branded meal products, for both health and added value meat solutions in both retail and foodservice.



Here you'll work both meat and meat free alternative food options. You can bring all of your talents and abilities as an NPD professional to a team of Technologists, Kitchen Assistants and a manager who promotes flair and innovation. You'll be guided to a point, with customer briefs and targets on commercials, but simultaneously you'll be charged with having autonomy to create new products that will blow the socks off your customers.

Liaising with the factory on first run and trials. Providing R&D plans, presenting to customers and internal stakeholders, whilst staying on top of the latest trends and food technologies is the core of this role for you. Bringing your own ideas and suggestions to the table, regularly, is encouraged.


We're looking for you to have at least a year in NPD already. Your experience will be measured mostly on your achievements and growth.
