Job Details

Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities

As Stock Controller:

  • Reporting on stock levels, using periodic counts to ensure accuracy, and investigating anomalies and reconciling IWT variance as required.
  • Facilitating the management of low code stock, reporting as required.
  • Management of SKUs, including establishing new and delisting obsolete, in line with site change management.
  • Processing and reporting destructions as required.
  • Management of pick face stock levels / locations and buffers.
  • Monitoring and reporting on short term stock availability, prioritising goods in and crossing off when necessary

  • As Wave Planner:

  • Coordinating daily work in accordance with the flow-plan and time, and maintaining a constant flow of work to the front line team, liaising with the warehouse FLM and Coord and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Liaison to customer, exports, 3rd party haulier, and internal departments.

  • As Control Room Operator:

  • Monitoring the automated pallet handling systems and controlling the direction of stock flow to ensure the timely migration of finished goods, resolving faults, where possible, and making use of engineers and front line for escalation.
  • Capacity management and stock balancing across the SRDC, to ensure the right stock is available in time, escalating as required.
  • Control of held stock on site to include being the owners of Third Party Manufacturing holds. This also includes escalation of BREAK pallets, liaison with manufacturing / transport / traffic and conducting HOP audits.

  • General accountabilities as a Warehouse Technician:

  • Point of contact for advice and guidance to internal and external sources.
  • Investigation and timely reporting of failures, lates and other incidents with the periodical review of processes in a view to continuous improvement service levels.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of training and best practice sharing between co-workers and the FLE population.
  • Following all GCS requirements with an annual review of GCS documentation

  • Other functions and duties as reasonably assigned.

    Qualifications and/or experience

    Knowledge:
    • SRDC Fleet load types & the Yard Control Management software
    • SRDC hold management processes.
    • SRDC warehouse front line operation.
    • SRDC SWPs as relevant to role.
    • SRDC automated systems, basic knowledge of the automated system here at the SRDC.
    Skills:
    • IT literacy, including MS Office Applications and Internet Explorer.
    • Specialist software - IMI Warehouse, SMS, IWT planning, Oracle, Qlikview, Yardsmart
    Experience:
    • Working in a customer facing environment.
    • Working accurately under time pressure.
    • Problem solving and time management under own initiative.
    • Knowledge of IMI warehouse and associated software would be advantageous
