This international supplier of innovative food ingredients is a global leader in its sector, working in partnership with manufacturing customers to bring innovation into the marketplace. They are now seeking an enthusiastic Quality Technologist to champion quality standards across their site. Please note there are two roles available, one for night shift and one for day shift.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor this role will see you become a vital member of the technical team, taking pride in handling a broad range of tasks. Working in both an independent and team capacity you will seek to maintain the highest quality standards across the site. You will work cross-functionally with production, development and sales teams, being a port of call for technical and quality queries in order to provide information to solve any issues that may occur.
You will coordinate raw materials, assist with supplier approval and support customer needs and/ or issues. Along with this you will participate with the internal audit plans, carry out sampling, monitor allergen and environmental records, and support with system and document control.
This role would suit a budding professional who ideally has a Food Science, Chemistry or related degree and is looking for that first industry role to thrive in. Alternatively this would also be perfect for an individual who has gained industry knowledge in a quality/technical role and is now looking for that next challenge. Level 2 Food Safety credential is essential and HACCP Level 2 would be preferable.
You will be a strong communicator who enjoys liaising with different departments, while being organised, methodical and solutions driven. Your confidence and versatile nature will allow you to enjoy the everyday challenges of working in an FMCG environment.
Please be aware that we are seeking candidates who have a UK driving license. The shift hours for this role are: Night Shift: 10 pm - 6:30 am, Day Shift: 6am - 2:30 pm, therefore access to a personal vehicle is essential.
