Assistant Technical Manager | Fresh Produce |Essex
£30-34k
This is a great opportunity to join a leading grower and packer of fresh produce into the retail sector, the business is very passionate about what they do and they are looking to strengthen the team with the appointment of an Assistant Technical Manager.
The role
Support the Lead Technical and Compliance Manager to deliver the technical agenda for the business
Manage ethical compliance for suppliers
A key member of the team conducting internal audits and managing external audits across the site ensuring non-conformances are closed out within timescales set
A member of the HACCP teams for the whole head and prepared products
Developing and maintaining QMS
Management of the QC team
The candidate
You will have food manufacturing / fresh produce experience and have worked within a technical/quality role, ideally within fresh produce but this isn't essential.
Have experience with BRC, HACCP, audits, retailer standards - TPPS
Good understanding of basic micro, swabbing and reporting results
Good IT skills
Experience in managing a team
Have a flexible approach to work
