This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a health-conscious entrepreneurial food brand, with an ever-expanding range of premium products. They are now seeking an R&D Technologist to join their team and help drive the development of innovative new foods.
Reporting to the R&D Manager you’ll be a key member of the R&D team managing all stages of product development in order to be in-line with the company’s values. You’ll be actively involved with the formulation of new recipes and refreshing existing ones, testing and scaling up to ensure the product is of a high specification that meet the company's stringent quality guidelines.
You will work closely with the manufacturing sites to ensure new products can be successfully implemented with the existing production parameters. You’ll also liaise with suppliers to keep ahead of competitors by identifying raw materials and ingredients opportunities that mirror new and emerging trends.
This role would suit a motivated and ambitious food science graduate with a proven track record within an R&D environment, ideally having done an R&D placement or are working in a similar role now where you have influenced NPD initiatives. Bakery or confectionary experience is ideal but not essential. You will have experience of working on R&D projects, analysing data and assisting in product research.
As well as outstanding attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills you will be able to utilise your interpersonal skills to form strong relationships and build networks with internal teams and suppliers. In addition, it is also vital that you possess an excellent level of IT literacy. You will need to be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you need to be enthusiastic, adaptable, have a passion for the science behind food and a great finder of solutions.
