About Our Client
Our client is a leading manufacturer of fresh/chilled food. They supply the major UK food retailers, discounters and food service markets with a variety of products. They have a great reputation for quality and service levels and have built real, collaborative relationships with their customers. They have multiple locations across the UK, each with state-of-the-art facilities that have seen significant investment. About the Role
This role will focus on the procurement of ingredients for the manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for tracking and forecasting cost prices, and reporting on supplier performance, commodity prices and potential risks in the market. You will work closely with the internal buying and finance teams to ensure accurate cost pricing and reporting. Regular reports on spend analysis, PPV analysis, price analysis and forecast analysis etc as well as ad-hoc reporting for specific projects will form a big part of your day-to-day. You will keep the systems and database up to date and accurate at all times to ensure accurate reporting and cost forecasts.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have procurement analysis experience in a food retailer/food retail supplier. You will be hungry to progress your career and potentially move into a senior buying role in the future. You will be a strong communicator and be able to stand on your own two feet and be self-assured. You will be able to problem-solve and work closely with internal/external teams to deliver. You will have strong analytical skills and ideally have used Mintec data and/or IBM TM1/Planning Analytics tools.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a bare minimum, you will need to be confident and a strong communicator who has strong analytical skills and experience. This role will involve working on advanced Excel spreadsheets as well as Mintec and IBM programs Tm1/Planning Analytics, so experience in this area would be an advantage but not a must.
