Laboratory Technician, 18 month contract, Wales

Excellent opportunity for a science graduate looking for their first role out of university in a fast-paced, growing food manufacturing company.

My client is looking for a self-starter with a scientific mindset looking to gain some hands-on experience in the FMCG industry, this role is based in Wales. You will ideally have a degree in Science (Food, Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry).

This is initially an 18-month contract but has the potential to go permanent as the site is growing and new lines are coming on board.

They would like someone to start ASAP - July / August 2022

£25,000
8-hour shift - Days
25 Days Holiday + bank holidays
Pension after two months of service
PRP - Performance related pay bonus scheme

My client is a nutritionally focussed FMCG business with a focus on sustainability and health.

Role
You will be responsible for carrying out routine analytical and microbiological QC/QA testing of raw materials, right through to finished products, to ensure compliance with legislative and quality requirements.

You will also be responsible for:

• Calibrations prior to analysis
• Investigating processing issues and customer feedback
• Evaluating new products / processes and competitor products as required
