As a Field Service Technician you will liaise with internal stakeholders of our Manchester site and manage your daily, weekly and monthly schedule in an efficient manner in order to maintain strong customer relations. Key to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, enhancing efficiency and performance within our industrial markets and delivering technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing and maintenance support to our customers. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with NOV project teams and management and Vendors relating to service maintenance activities.
  • Prepare, review and approve work packs required for the above related activities.
  • Undertake client equipment inspections and repairs, including but not limited to: Mechanical completion checks; Factory acceptance tests; Function/loop checks; Technical Reporting; Leak testing/pressure testing.
  • Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, advice/recommendations, liaising with engineering departments as necessary.
  • Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
  • Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
  • Provide HSEQ leadership ensuring personal compliance with legislation and Company policies.

  • Daily travel to customer sites when required.
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by the service manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ONC/HNC/HND in Engineering CSCS Card (essential).    
  • Tertiary education in an Engineering  and or Business discipline (desirable).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mechanical/Electrical knowledge (essential).
  • ECS Card (essential).
  • City & Guilds 2394-5 Inspection and Test/2382 (desirable).
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

  • Mechanical/Electrical knowledge within installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance environments (essential).
  • Ability to create and track individual and team metrics (essential).
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings (essential).
