Senior Process Technologist

We are the leading provider of fresh prepared food in the UK, with an international presence in the US and China. In the UK, we work with leading grocery retailers, focusing on their own label brands.
Bakkavor Meals London is looking to recruit a Lead Process Technologist to ensure the smooth transition of product concepts to launch, ensuring the technical and quality standards are achieved and maximising profitability. The incumbent will challenge current factory processes, and look for improvements, efficiencies and value engineering.

The Role:

This is an exciting role working across multiple customers and product categories. Reporting into our Process Development Manager with line management responsibility for small team of Process Technologists; you will work in a key role ensuring that our new products and product lines are scalable to meet our clients’ expectations. You will work closely with our New Product Development and Production teams through production trials and taking ownership of product handover from concept to launch, so you must be comfortable chairing and leading meetings to ensure project timelines are met.

You must be an excellent communicator with a real eye for detail. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task is necessary, as you will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

About you:
•    Exposure to customer trials and critical path management.
•    Proven track record in food manufacturing and exposure to customer trials and critical path management
•    Chilled food background is preferred.
•    The ability to work independently as well as in a team.
•    Sound operational experience within Process; Technical; Development or Operations.
•    Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence across different departments, with a collaborative approach to delivery.
•    Effective Project and Time Management skills.
•    The ability to be adaptable, prioritise and juggle multiple work streams at the same time.
•    Able to deliver through others, develop, and coach team members.
•    Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 2 preferred.
