Financial Accountant - Sales Accounting Lead (Part or newly qualified)

Slough based contract (Hybrid/flexible working)

 

As our Financial Accountant - Sales Accounting Lead, you'll be the ‘Go To’ person responsible for all Sales Accounting and deduction management within KP. The successful candidate will therefore have experience in accounting who is able to ensure that the business complies with UK accounting standards (FRS 102) and Group accounting policies. The focus is on continuous improvement, driving new efficiencies and maintaining strong financial control to ensure audit requirements are met. This role is responsible for overseeing the sales transaction coordinators. The sales transaction coordinators ensure that all deductions are allocated timely and any incorrect deductions are highlighted timely to the Sales team.

 

As Financial Accountant, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that we have integrity in the commercial balance sheet and we ultimately deliver a first class external audit report through accurate recording, reporting and reconciliation of sales accruals and deductions
  • Managing four offshore resources (India based but aligned to UK office working hours) ensuring timely and accurate completion of their sales accounting/deduction activities
  • Timely and accurate processing of customer deductions against related promotional accruals
  • Attendance at monthly trade investment reconciliation meetings and commercial balance sheet meetings to review commercial balance sheet accuracy
  • Ongoing process and system improvements in the sales accounting area
  • Ensure SOP’s are in place and constantly reviewed for both on and off shore tasks

Key knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong technical and data analysis skills
  • Demonstrable record of implementing the highest standards of financial control and compliance
  • CIMA, ACCA, CA or ACA studier (at least Certificate/Knowledge completed)
  • Critical thinking,  judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proven experience of managing offshore teams
  • Strategic and conceptual skills
  • ERP experience
  • Command of Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Rebate management system experience desired
