This entrepreneurial and ambitious food business have big growth plans underway and need a talented development chef to help drive NPD for a range of customers across retail and food service. They are currently based on the South Coast but are moving by the end of the year to purpose built offices that are commutable from SW London / Surrey / Hampshire / Berkshire regions.
This is a brand new role where you will report to the Senior NPD Chef, working on projects in line with the NPD strategy and delivering amazing products for a range of customers but initially a focus on developing business within the foodservice sector.
With your finger on the pulse of this dynamic industry you’ll be up to date with emerging market trends, using your culinary expertise to translate these into innovative product concepts that will entice your customers and leave them wanting more. In addition you will use your industry knowledge to drive food values across the NPD function, ensuring that your products are of the highest levels of quality as well as taste.
The role will involve travelling to see customers and presenting products at all stages of the development process.
Ambitious and creative you’ll have the ability to develop products that capture the latest trends and ingredients as well as being commercially and technically viable. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for captivating and impressing your customers with stunning new products.
Previous experience of working within the food manufacturing industry would be great as you will have gained commercial awareness and a good understanding of NPD processes from concept to launch. You will also understand how to work well in customer focussed roles and have well-honed presentation skills.
