The business we are recruiting for is a well-established, progressive and growing business within the Cambridgeshire area. They have a wealth of history behind them and lots of backing to drive growth and business forward. After a very successful last 18 months, this business doesn't intend to slow down and wants to build on its successes.

About the Role

As Senior Despatch Manager, you will oversee all outbound operations of the business, ensuring the storing, picking and packing operations are operating optimally. You will oversee a team of managers, and ensure that this area of the business is performing both cost-effectively, safely, and effectively whilst aligning with business vision and plans. AS the business grows, there is every intention that this role will oversee a second site, and so experience handling multi-site operations would be beneficial.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience in Multi-site operations would be beneficial, but ultimately experience overseeing a large, fast-paced despatch department of a business is paramount. Understanding Fresh Produce and Short-shelf life products are very important, and understanding the challenges that can arise in this environment will ensure that you are ahead of the game. You will work at a strategic level and so experience working at this level and driving performance improvements is ideal.
