Working hours of a Production Supervisor are:

Monday - Friday 05:30 - 14:00 & 13:30 - 22:00 (alternating weekly)

Just Volume Recruitment, in partnership with Cranswick Convenience Foods, are looking to recruit a Production Supervisor on a permanent basis to join the team based in Milton Keynes.

As a Production Supervisor you will:

• Accountable for production operations within a section of the FMP department
• Manage and complete daily plans set ensuring products are delivered to the cookhouse on time in full
• Ensure all calibration checks and set ups are undertaken as per technical requirements within your areas of control
• Ensure that your teams rotate stock correctly and that all movements are captured on the Navision system
• Accountability for the operation and the maintenance of all electric truck’s pallet carts and scissor lifts that are used in your areas
• Ensure all staff are fully trained and signed off against the processes they are carrying out within your areas of control
• Responsible for the integrity of the FMP areas fabrication and upkeep within your remit
• Accountable for all health and safety and all start up checks within your areas ensuring non-conformances are actioned then reduced
• Ensure all HACCP standards are adhered to during all operations within your area
• Conduct interviews for new employees within your section
• Manage waste
• Foreign body & clip control
• Responsible for helping to develop a continuous improvement culture within your areas of responsibility
• Deliver all KPIs set within the areas of your control challenging supporting and holding to account any members that are failing to achieve their agreed targets
• Always operate within set technical guidelines asking for guidance when required
• Create a clean as you go culture driving GMP in your section to a very high standard
• Engage and excite your teams to support and execute the sites vision
• Any reasonable request as instructed by your line manager

Skills required as a Production Supervisor

• Experience of working as a successful Team Leader or Operative in a Food Manufacturing role
• FLT experience/Licence
• Good Knowledge of basic food hygiene / health and safety principles
• Good Literacy & numeracy levels – able to write and speak in English
• Good reliability and good timekeeping
• Conscientious with a good ability to communicate with others
• Willingness to learn and be a good team player
• Leads by example and can create a positive working environment for their teams
• Takes co-operative, enthusiastic and orderly approach, helping to complete production tasks when required
• Flexible approach with ability to carry out a wide variety of tasks and adapt to the changing needs of the Company
