Operations Manager

My client are seeking an Operations Manager o ensure that the factory meets the needs of customers and the business in terms of product offering, price, quality and service. Looking at the C.I of the business as well instilling a high level of H&S. Reporting into the Operations Director.

Principal Accountabilities

The post holder will have the have daily contact with all of the site team from Senior Managers to hourly waged staff in all areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure that the business provides a safe working environment and is compliant with Health & Safety Legislation and has competent trained staff Ensure that the daily production requirements are met whilst identifying opportunities for performance and cost improvement Ensure that the required standards of product quality and food safety are adhered to Manage supply and warehouse to maximise productivity and minimise waste Deliver cost improvements through identification and implementation of capital projects. Lead site meetings and cross functional project including CAPEX for the site Ensure effective communication to all on site via briefings notice boards and screens and to others in the group Apply best manufacturing practice and consistency of techniques across production using Lean and 6 Sigma tools To have direct responsibility for the performance, training and development of the your team of managers, whilst outlining the needs for all their reporting staff.

Problem Solving

• Identifying improvement ideas to continually improve performance and reduce cost Dealing with the multi-cultural workforce, ensuring cohesion across shifts and motivation of the production teams Development of production managers and team leaders to ensure that there is enough strength in depth to deal with production demands throughout the calendar year.

Working Relationships

Daily contact with all the site team, from senior managers to hourly staff in all areas.

Working hours and Salary:

£65,000 + 15% Bonus working Monday - Friday days.
