The Company

This trusted and recognised establishment work in partnership with the food & drink industry, communicating food industry values and concerns to regulators, consumers and the government. Working with a variety of businesses, from household names to the brands of tomorrow, they provide technical, regulatory and legislative support.  They are now looking for a commercially astute Senior Sector Regulatory Executive to join their technical and commercial teams on a 1 year contract.

The Role

You’ll be an integral part of the technical team and act as the main point of contact for food manufacturing businesses with regards to technical and regulatory developments. You will work across several sector trade associations, becoming a trusted expert on relevant food policies. You will also liaise with policy committees, government departments, European Associations and other stakeholders on the development of policy positions. You will analyse, summarise and disseminate technical documents in a timely and accurate manner on food issues from UK and EU regulators and institutions. You will work with a broad range of colleagues, particularly those with specialist policy knowledge in various aspects of food safety and legislation, as well as the corporate affairs team.

The Person

This role would suit a food science graduate or another similar discipline who has the relevant experience in industry, trade association or regulatory authority. You’ll have gained technical expertise and interest in food safety policy, science and regulatory issues.

You’ll have the ability to organise a diverse workload and sustain a range of working relationships. You must have excellent administrative capabilities alongside a keen eye for detail as you will be analysing legislative documents, policy proposals and technical data.
