Are you an experienced Technical Manager with solid supplier management skills?

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure product legal compliance and safety
  • Supplier Management – maintaining technical relationships and driving improvements
  • Product Management – maintaining up to date specifications and ensuing product is compositionally legal; ensuring legal labelling, managing consumer complaints, managing quality issues and incidents/crises including developing preventive action plans.
  • Support with food safety policy and compliance
  • Update the business on current and emerging issues and steps required to oversee full compliance
  • Support the development of CSR, Sustainability, Modern Slavery and ETI policy
  • Development of technical strategy to support business development and brand integrity

Key Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years technical/quality experience preferably in retail or a similar head office environment where the food business relies on co-packers/suppliers
  • Degree qualifies in food science or an associated subject
  • HACCP and Food Safety Level 4
  • Proven 3rd party auditing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player.  
  • Ability to lead and influence
  • Knowledge of supplier assurance and management programmes
