Group Procurement Manager

This is a newly created position opportunity to join a growing UK food group who supply a range of chilled food products to the major retailers.  Renowned for their quality and service, they have a strong focus on customer and supplier relationships with an ability to offer bespoke products to cater for all their client’s needs.

Your role will be responsible for all direct and indirect procurement of goods and services across three business units. You will build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be directly responsibility for negotiating with suppliers to manage costs, whilst maintaining excellent service levels.

The ideal candidate will have a solid purchasing/procurement background within the FMCG sector, ideally gained within chilled foods or a food retailer environment.  Excellent negotiation and people skills are key, as is an ability to think strategically and to implement change. The position provides a real opportunity for the successful candidate to have the autonomy to develop their capabilities as at Senior Management level within an ever-expanding organisation.
