This role is working for a successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer.
The business produces high-quality food products and exceptional service to enable their food manufacturing customers to innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.
About the Quality Systems Technologist job
The purpose of your role will be to manage and maintain the departmental KPI information e.g. non-conformances, complaints, concessions etc. ensuring all information is collated and distributed effectively.
You will manage the document control of all technical policies, procedures, and associated documentation plus be the main point of contact for the third-party laboratory, ensuring laboratory testing schedules of environment and product are adhered to.
Key tasks:
- Support the Technical Manager in the development of a robust Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring that documents are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with BRC, legislation, and customer codes of practice.
- Attend HACCP Meetings and ensure associated documentation is kept up to date.
- Complete internal audits, highlighting conformance and non-conformance and ensuring all actions are closed out.
- Collate data from the site non-conformance log and use this to populate departmental and site KPI trackers.
- Monitor and trend pest control data for KPI reporting and communication of trends and significant issues to the business.
- Submit all raw materials, finished products, and environmental monitoring samples for testing.
- Generate certificates of analysis as per customer requirements.
Skills & experience required for the Quality Systems Technologist job
- Ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food technology or similar scientific discipline.
- Previous quality assurance/technical experience within food or beverage manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food safety systems and their practical application in a manufacturing environment.
- Qualifications including Food Safety, Food Hygiene, HACCP, Auditing etc. are all highly desirable.
- High attention to detail with fantastic administration and organisation skills.

The Quality Systems Technologist job is based in Cheshire and is paying up to £28,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday - Friday.
