About the Warehouse Manager job

Your role as a Warehouse Manager will be to organise the picking, packing and fulfilment operation of the products.

Key tasks

  • The efficient running of the site warehouse functions, including fulfilment staff management, stock control and goods in/out.
  • Ensure product is stored and handled under food safety and quality policies & procedures.
  • Ensure product is stored and handled with the utmost care to ensure every customer experiences the quality of our product delivered.
  • Managing supervisors and team leaders to maintain pick, pack and despatch schedules and achieve operational and quality KPIs.
  • Conducting regular staff training and supervision on pick and packing processes alongside food quality and safety.
  • Managing and maintaining courier relationships and ensuring a successful despatch schedule and outbound delivery of goods.
  • Health and safety procedures for the fulfilment and warehouse areas.
  • Liaising with customer service, courier companies and suppliers; chasing up late/missing orders or inbound goods in conjunction with our customer service team; via emails/phone.
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly on KPIs and operational performance of the fulfilment team, striving to improve efficiencies and costs consistently.
  • Analysing data to assess performance, discover logistical problems and suggest and implement improvement plans.
  • Managing and maintaining OMS, ensuring the correct recording of inbound and outbound goods and stock counts alongside resource planning.
  • Work closely with our CEO, OM and PM to achieve operational excellence for customer experience and satisfaction.

About You

In addition to existing experience from a warehouse-related supervisory / management position, other key things are:

  • A background in food manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Forklift truck license.
  • Computer literate with good attention to detail and experience in handling electronic data.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work with an ambitious desire to progress the business.
  • The ability to solve problems, make decisions, think laterally, and offer creative solutions.
  • Experience using OMS software.
  • Commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and manage and lead a progressive yet diligent team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

More details

The Warehouse Manager job is based in East Anglia and is paying £35-40,000 according to your experience.

This is a Monday to Friday day shift role, but the company does offer flexible working as well as a free product subscription!
