Quality Manager 
Bruton / Shepton Mallet Area 
Up to £40k DOE plus benefits including additional training and development
Hours Monday - Friday 08.30-17.00

My client, a successful and award winning FMCG food manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a Quality Manager / Assistant Technical Manager for their site in Bruton, near Shepton Mallet.  The successful Quality Manager will work alongside an experienced Technical manager reporting into the Group Technical director. This is a newly created role working for a company with both a family feel and a professional work ethic who pride themselves on delivering excellent customer service, training and developing their staff and their excellent staff retention rates 

The successful Quality Manager will enjoy being hands on and main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with all Technical requirements on site 
• To assist in the management of the technical requirements of the business concerning quality, legality and food safety and ensure these are aligned with the needs of interested parties including external customers and regulatory bodies.
• To assist in implementing and maintaining technical standards across the site 

Key skills required for the Quality Manager role:

• Quality / Technical experience within production environments in the food /drink industry.
• Experience of BRC, HACCP implementation, facilitation of customer audits and QSM, quality system management.
• Degree qualification in food science or equivalent
• Excellent people management & communication skills.

Dairy knowledge would be helpful
