What We're All About:

At our company, safety isn't just a box to check; it's a way of life. We are committed to fostering a vibrant health and safety culture that's embedded in everything we do. We believe in continuous improvement, risk reduction, and the well-being of our valued team members.

Your Mission:

As our Health & Safety Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our safety culture. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivating a Safety Culture: Your primary mission is to promote a robust safety culture where every team member is not just aware of safety, but actively engaged in creating a safer workplace. You'll work on upskilling managers and colleagues, encouraging proactive behaviours that keep us all safe.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: We believe in setting the standards high. You'll have the opportunity to develop and embed relevant policies and procedures that are the backbone of our safety initiatives.
  • Auditing for Excellence: Your role involves conducting safety walks and compliance audits, involving our area teams in taking ownership of their safety. You'll identify compliance issues and address non-conformance while making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Learning from Incidents: When incidents occur, you'll support incident investigations and risk assessments. Your insights will guide us in ensuring that lessons learned are implemented across our various sites.
  • Keeping Records: You'll be responsible for meticulous record-keeping, and when necessary, transmitting documents to stakeholders. Your attention to detail ensures that we maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Data-Driven Insights: As a champion of safety, you'll report on health & safety statistics and analyse trends and data. Your findings will be the foundation for making the right recommendations to drive improvements.
  • Collaboration with HR: You'll work closely with our HR team to develop and advance our Health and Wellbeing agenda, ensuring that our team's physical and mental health is a top priority.
  • Training Initiatives: You'll support our Regional Health & Safety Manager in delivering training programmes. Your expertise will help equip our team with the knowledge and skills they need to work safely.
  • Innovative Initiatives: Think outside the box! Develop and implement engaging initiatives that foster a strong safety culture. This could include communication plans, creative training sessions, and impactful toolbox talks.
  • Your Qualifications:

    • Minimum requirement: NEBOSH General Certificate.
    • Membership in professional bodies like IOSH or TechIOSH is a big plus.
    • Proven experience in health & safety roles with a solid grasp of legal requirements, policy development, and the ability to perform risk assessments and spot hazards.

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping our safety culture, making a positive impact every day? Join us in creating a safer and healthier work environment for all. Apply now and be part of our journey towards a safer future. Your passion for safety is the spark we need to ignite positive change.
