Specification Technologist

Our client, a highly respected and innovative food manufacturer located in the East Midlands, has a rich tradition of delivering exceptional products to the market. They are currently seeking a Specification Technologist to join their dynamic team, this role involves crafting retail specifications and offers the flexibility of up to three days working from home.

As a Specification Technologist, you will be at the core of ensuring the quality and accuracy of retail specifications. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and details required for retail product specifications.
- Craft, review, and update product specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for each product.
- Ensure the accuracy of technical data, ingredient lists, and allergen information.
- Conduct regular reviews to keep specifications up to date.
- Manage communication with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding specification-related queries.
- Take advantage of the option to work from home for three days a week.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in specification writing within the food industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and labelling regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Proficiency in using specification software and tools.
