Junior Development Chef - Food Manufacturing

A leading culinary food manufacturer magnate in Yorkshire are looking to appoint a new Junior Development Chef . You will contribute to daily kitchen operations, develop new food products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for market demands.

**Main Duties:**
- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation and cleaning.
- Contribute to ideation and development of new food products.
- Collaborate with teams to translate concepts into tangible designs.
- Source ingredients locally, maintain accurate documentation, and conduct taste tests.
- Support product testing, scale up successful prototypes for mass production.
- Generate menus for client presentations and conduct market research.

**Requirements:**
- GCSE level education in Maths and English.
- Formal chef qualifications (City & Guilds level 2).
- Relevant Food Hygiene training.
- Understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with product testing and sensory evaluation.
- Knowledge of food chemistry, flavour pairing, and ingredient functionality.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

**Experience:** 2 years in Commercial Kitchens (preferred)
**Licence/Certification:** Driving Licence (required), Formal Chef Qualification (required), Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
