The role

To ensure that all products are safe and legal and made to the highest quality, ensuring that all customer and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Technical Manager to ensure sites meet the required standards for BRC
  • Assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality and HACCP systems
  • Deal with quality and technical queries from customers
  • Effectively manage investigation on quality matters, complaints and incidents ensuring all issues are dealt with promptly
  • Provide practical support to promote a Quality Assurance/Food Safety Culture
  • Complete customer questionnaires based on regulatory and supplier information available
  • Assist with customer and regulatory audits


Qualifications

  • Experience from a quality/technical based role within food manufacturing
  • Great understanding of Quality and Food Safety requirements and standards in the food industry (ISO, BRC standards etc.)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and factory QMS gained through similar role in the food industry
  • Good understanding of spoken and written English
  • Good team working skills and able to communicate confidently
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
