This brand provides products direct to the consumer but are also thriving in the corporate arena. They are now on an inspiring journey to expand the volume and breadth of their business with new revenue streams in the works. They need a new addition to their team – a superstar in the making – an amazing Procurement Manager who will oversee and manage procurement, supply chain, fulfilment, logistics and packaging.
Reporting to the co-founder, you will be an integral part of the business and oversee the smooth running of the operation with a broad remit that covers procurement, supply chain, fulfilment and logistics. You’ll be building strong partnerships with suppliers, reviewing and optimising prices, negotiating the best margins and ensuring that there is always enough inventory. You’ll also source suppliers for fabulous new ingredients as well as packaging that delivers on functionality as well as sustainability.
With the business growing at pace, you will need to be fully prepared with your impeccable planning and forecasting skills to ensure that all customers get a flawless service. You will also work closely with the innovation team to support the launch of new products.
There are also lots of projects to lead such as growth strategies where you will look at capacity creation through improving processes and efficiency. You’ll also work with the founder to implement tech-based solutions to reduce operating costs and maximise profitability.
This position requires a bright and enthusiastic Procurement and Supply Chain professional with the vision and ambition to help deliver the growth plans for this successful brand. You will need previous experience within the UK food manufacturing industry where you have gained an understanding of warehouse/dispatch operations as well as supply chain, procurement and supplier management.
You will be able to demonstrate how you have delivered outside-the-box ideas to achieve success, whilst working in a fast-paced environment with the tenacity to drive solutions. Commercially minded, with an innovative approach and the ability to effectively manage, influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels.
Ideally you will have worked for a branded business, enjoy working at pace in an entrepreneurial environment and understand how to adapt your expertise into a high-growth business.
