This trailblazing brand are looking for a passionate and influential Head of Product Development to come and join their team and take their products to the next level.

The Role

This is an all-encompassing role where you will be managing the whole product lifecycle, ensuring a strong product strategy and roadmap for both EPD and NPD across the business. Reporting to the Head of Operations for EMEA, you will be part of the UK team but work in a global capacity as the product expert, gathering ideas, developing products and bringing them to life in order to stay at the forefront of the industry.

You will have responsibility for ideation and benchtop development, as well as the management of the new product launch process with manufacturing partners to drive on-trend, profitable new products from concept through to launch.

You’ll also ensure that the existing products are the best they can be, optimising where needed and implementing a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll be a natural at keeping up to speed with new trends across the world and how they can be incorporated into products, demonstrating creative flair that will delight discerning consumers.

Your confidence and strong relationship building skills will allow you to create lasting relationships with suppliers, helping to source new and innovative ingredients and refine manufacturing processes. You will shape and lead the NPD/EPD projects, directing the internal / external teams involved, motivating and inspiring them to deliver innovation and excellence with pride.  

The Person

We are looking for a highly accomplished and tenacious Head of Product Development, ideally with a food science qualification as well as extensive experience gained from a food manufacturing or food/drink brand environment. If you’ve had experience of international markets that would be amazing but not essential.

With the ability to galvanise and enthuse colleagues, customers and suppliers, you will have previously operated at a strategic level to bring exciting products to market and have developed the credibility to influence at all levels.

Experience of working in partnership with co-manufacturers and understanding how to deliver true innovation to consumers is vital. You will relish taking ownership of products, from the initial hands-on creation through to successful launch into multiple markets.  

With fantastic attention to detail and a true self-starter, you aren’t phased by constant change and challenges – you have a drive to deliver and can adapt and implement solutions swiftly. A natural collaborator and communicator, you will have a history of inspiring others and bringing them together.
