Product Developer – Food Brand

The Company

With plans to expand into new channels and categories, they are now looking for a highly talented, engaging and proactive Product Developer to join their team in this newly created role.

The Role

As an integral member of this growing company you’ll be playing a crucial role in the development of products from concept to launch, supporting the NPD Manager to take this brand to the next level. No two days will ever be the same as you are exposed to all aspects of NPD and EPD across multiple categories, from taking a lead on managing the development kitchen, to assisting the NPD Manager in managing the pipeline and translating ideas into market leading products.

Getting up close and personal with the products themselves, you will take a lead on recipe creation, getting hands on with flavour development and ingredient management, as well as creating draft recipe nutritional’s and costings. You will also support tasting panels and overall project management, resolving any supplier issues and maintaining all paperwork. A champion of innovation and quality, you’ll work closely with your manufacturing partners, building a strong rapport to develop and scale pioneering ranges, whilst using your creative flair and commercial acumen to push the boundaries for your growing consumer base.

The Person

We're looking for an exceptionally talented and creative Product Developer with a well-honed palate, a passion for food, and boundless energy and enthusiasm to get hands on. You must have practical kitchen experience and a few years’ experience working in chilled food manufacturing, with an understanding of developing products from concept through to launch being advantageous.

Whilst having the adaptability and drive to easily pick up, prioritise and support projects, you’ll also be a natural organiser with exceptional planning skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner to set deadlines. You are a self-starter with resilience, tenacity and a high attention to detail, who strives for continuous improvement to support and inspire the brands mission. Additionally, you’ll be intuitive with top-notch interpersonal and communication skills in order to work collaboratively at all levels.
