The Company

Our client is a first class manufacturer and supplier of the finest quality food products and one of the UK’s leading businesses in its sector. Placing great emphasis on partnerships in business, our client’s customers include virtually all of the UK's leading retail and wholesale distribution foodservice companies as well as many of Europe's major food manufacturers. This is an excellent opportunity to join this leading food manufacturer and set the standards across the industry.

The Role

Our client is now seeking a Specification Technologist who will ensure that all retailer specifications and related paperwork are completed on time, in full, with a right first-time approach.

You will write clear retailer specifications, complying with regulations and customer requirements and approve artwork and packaging designs, aligning with brand guidelines. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather information for specifications and review and maintain accurate documentation. You will work closely with the Quality Systems team to review supplier specifications using Hamilton Grant and support any customer audits, e.g., BRC, PIU etc.

This role is based at the company’s offices in Northamptonshire, with an agile working pattern, including working from home 2 days a week.

About You

For this position, we are looking for someone with 1 – 2 years FMCG experience accurately writing and updating specifications for UK retailers and a working knowledge of their systems.

You possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to multitask and you are a good team player. Artwork and packaging design experience is a plus. A genuine and real passion for food would be a distinct advantage.

If you think you’ve got what it takes and are ultimately keen to develop a career with a leading, FMCG company, please apply online giving details of your current salary package in a covering note.
