Technical and Quality Assistant

This role is key to maintaining the highest standards of product quality control and legislative compliance, which are paramount to success. The quality systems in place meet ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and GMP food safety accreditations and quality requirements.

You will play a key role in providing administrative support to the Nutrition Product and technical team and also maintaining the Quality management system which is externally audited. You’ll ensure GMP standards are maintained and regulatory compliance is achieved in all the administrative processes linked to this. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day activities in respect of quality audits and technical administration.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintaining the QMS that is in place to ensure full compliance with quality accreditation and food safety, liaising with external consultants
• Updating ISO systems
• Work with the technical team to update and ensure correctness of controlled documentation - procedures, forms and records.
• Maintain appropriate policies for Quality, Validation, Environment etc.
• Carry out regular health and safety checks from processes that are implemented and audited annually from an external provider
• Maintain internal audit schedule and carry out internal audit as required.
• Supporting the technical team with all related paperwork, product specifications and certificates of analysis
• Submissions to authorities for product approval
• Helping to prepare and proof label text for products
• Helping to write product descriptions for web site, catalogue and other channels
• Liaising with suppliers on product delivery
