EMEA CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT DIRECTOR
Working model: hybrid
Location: Haddenham or Peterborough 

Reporting to the VP Operations and Supply Chain EMEA, EMEA CI Director is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and functional expertise to the EMEA Supply Chain Teams on implementing an end-to-end World Class Continuous Improvement Program to improve financial delivery, lead workforce engagement and capability and drive analytic capability and insights. This position leads the JTE (Journey to Excellence) strategy focused on building Employee capability and driving Employee engagement through implementation of high-performance work systems to achieve exceptional business results.
This position is responsible for leading and developing regional process and provides input into global processes such as such as overall value generation (includes Loss Analysis, Revenue generation, Capital investment/avoidance), Analytics, and Network Design. This position builds strategic recommendation on Supply Chain of the Future design aligned with the EMEA SCLT on the execution & feasibility.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Create and execute the Journey to Excellence (JTE, McCormick term for Continuous Improvement) Masterplan. Connect Plant Leaders, Functional Directors and Commercial Leaders to JTE methodology and progress.
•    Governance for value pool (loss analysis, network design, capital investments/avoidance/deferment) for the region. This included development and ownership of horizontal themes (e.g. direct labour, indirect labour, material waste, procurement sourcing choices and warehouse and transportation lanes). Lead mapping of value pool to technology solutions (e.g. Leo and MES) to fuel growth.
•    Works with Operations Directors and Finance to evaluate footprint optimization options and recommend joint recommendations for improved or expanded footprint.
•    Build and implement the supply chain of the future in conjunction with and supporting the EMEA SCLT, functional areas and sites.
•    Build analytic capability driving KPI standardization and data drive culture. Establish a clear roadmap to increase the prominence of data driven decision in partnership with Global Supply Chain teams.
•    Provide coaching to sites and EMEA CI Managers, Plant Managers and Functional Directors.
•    Participate on Global SC Transformation team providing sponsorship and input on various systems and tools to help build the Supply Chain of the Future.
•    Lead and support audits and JTE assessments; lead loss analysis across the region.
•    Coordinate and provide coaching at monthly reviews for Operations, Supply Chain, Plants, etc. on leading a culture change within Plants and EMEA region to build people capability to eliminate losses.
•    Manage the interface with EMEA and Global CCI teams to support the development of the next generation CCI agenda and to ensure a coordinated and aligned approach to margin expansion.
•    Drive the standardised use of data in the supply chain to support loss elimination, engagement and capability building. Ensure the JTE digitization is deployed per the EMEA JTE master plan.
•    Innovate the use of data and human analytics to support the evolution of engagement, capability and ownership with non-exempt workforce population.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
•    Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience and progressing leadership roles within Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
•    Demonstrated ability to drive results using continuous improvement tools, analytical decision making, building strong relationships, and direction setting.
•    Ability to provide program / project leadership on pillars, programs and systems.
•    A strong practical approach with clear leadership and influencing abilities
•    Strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide and influence others, strong leadership of non-direct reports to achieve common objectives in different culture
•    Ability to translate strategy into actionable information
•    Flexible and able to manage concurrent priorities
•    Strong problem-solving skills: leads other in problem solving and root cause analysis
•    Knowledge of the programs, policies and practices of other food and general industry practices in safety, industrial
•    Able to travel; Fluent English is required
