Arla not only makes some of the world's most popular dairy products, but offers much more. We have our roots in Scandinavia and live these values in our company and through our brands. With well-known brands like Lurpak and Cravendale, we are a natural part of modern life in more than 100 countries worldwide. We are a modern dairy cooperative which means we are farmer owned, and farmer run. We work with over 2000 farmers in the UK and are passionate about driving our sustainability agenda forward. Our goal is to create the future of dairy, whilst nurturing “Stronger Planet, Stronger People”.

We are looking for an Agriculture Sustainability Project Manager,  to join the UK Customer Agriculture team, working closely with the customer agriculture managers to deliver progress on sustainability on UK farms. This is an exciting newly created role, where you will be responsible for the on-farm delivery of projects across the UK. You will need to recruit farmers onto the projects, either by delivering presentations at farmer meetings or one to one. You will need to be adept at managing data and reporting progress and you will have strong project management experience, ideally within the UK dairy industry.

You will report to the Senior Customer Sustainability Manager UK and will be part of the delivery of the UK’s accelerated customer and brand sustainability programme, managing the on farm delivery of new initiatives.

  • Implementation of UK Commercial Sustainability Programme to deliver for customers and the Arla Brand via on farm project delivery and sustainability progress
  • Project lead on the full life cycle delivery of sustainability projects on farm, including farmer selection and approach, set up on farm whilst working closely with customer ag managers on communication.
  • Support customer agriculture managers with “sell in” and reporting on projects towards customers and farmers
  • Collaborate with commercial/communications colleagues to deliver high quality customer partnerships and engagement with project progress
  • To support and work closely with others who are running projects (TBD) with learnings, project management and reporting alignment.

  • Agriculture experience  and experience working closely with farmers. Dairy experience is essential.
  • Strong project management experience, with a focus on sustainability and agriculture role
  • Passion for and expertise in sustainability innovation delivery
  • Demonstrated strong communication and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and delegate and support others to manage

Please note this role will include regular travel across the UK. If you would like a confidential chat around the role, please reach out to Talent Acquisition Partner Patrick Kilbride. The closing date for this role is the 30th of December.

Please note we are not partnered with any recruitment agencies for this role. We kindly ask that recruitment agencies do not submit speculative CVs on behalf of candidates, as these CVs will not be considered under the agency ownership and will be accepted as a gift. We encourage interested individuals to apply directly through our official channels.

We call it Stronger People Stronger Planet and it is deeply anchored in our organisation and founded on our commitment to respecting human rights, increasing access to healthy dairy nutrition, inspiring good food habits, and improving the environment for future generations. In order to succeed we need to hire people with a sustainable mindset. Could this be you?

It has come to our attention that there are a number of fraudulent emails and fake recruitment campaigns on the internet from people purporting to work for Arla Foods. Learn more via this link.
