As a Packaging Technologist you will play a crucial role in the Product Development process by managing various aspects of packaging. Responsibilities include verifying packaging costs in internal NPD costings through collaboration with the procurement team. You will be finalising packaging cutters, ensuring timely supply in accordance with critical path timings, and organise outer cases for NPD/EPD, securing approval from key stakeholders. You will ensures the correctness of all packaging elements, including trays, sleeves, films, and outer cases.

In the artwork approval process, you are meticulously checking details such as cutter guide size, dimensions, panel layout, date code box, barcode position, and varnish-free areas, communicating relevant information to the Specifications team. The role extends to managing promotional artwork, generating internal packaging specifications, and supporting product trials.

Additionally, you will be attending retailer pre-artwork meetings, co-coordinate the approval of the first delivery of printed packaging for overall print quality, and manage the Brandbank process. Database management involves updating packaging details for accuracy and accessibility. Collaboration with the Procurement team to align with business strategy on packaging suppliers and supporting new packaging innovation with the NPD Packaging Manager.
