About the Product Developer job
The purpose of your role will be to develop innovation and renovation projects for a particular category ensuring they are delivered on time and to strategy.
Key tasks
-Investigate feasibility of food ideas and actively participate in the creation of food briefs with marketing and other stakeholders.
-Develop and deliver tasty and nutritious foods that meet consumer, brand and business needs whilst ensuring standards are met in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
-Industrialisation - ensuring with supply partners and other functions that new products are scaled up and implemented in line with briefs.
-Attend factory trials and launches taking responsibility for delivery of the foods.
-Contribute to problem resolution and continuous improvement with the finished goods supplier.
-Testing and evaluating alternative raw materials with suppliers to assure contingency / cost saving.
-Presenting products to key stakeholders.
About You
You will be degree qualified within Food Science / Technology or related subject and have at least 4 years’ experience within a similar role. In addition, you will:
-Be self-motivated with drive and discipline, always prepared to go the extra mile.
-Possess great knowledge of food production and processing.
-Be resourceful and able to multitask.
-Be a team player, collaborative, trusted by peers and approachable.
-Experience working across a wide variety of foods and processing technologies plus experience working with external partners – third party manufacturers would be desirable.

The Product Developer job is based on the South Coast and is paying £35,000 - £42,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are full-time flexi hours, but 2 days are required in the office and you need to be happy to travel abroad.
