The Role

Reporting to the Head Development Chef, you’ll be working as part of a large NPD team to create new ranges, translating food & restaurant trends into market leading products for a prestigious retailer.

You will work closely with your customer to understand their requirements and impress them with your culinary knowledge and passion. As you will naturally be up to speed on all the latest trends, you will be able to present new ideas and influence your customer with confidence and panache.

You will also be working with closely with internal teams to guarantee that your products are commercially viable as well as creative, on trend and first to market.   

The Person

We are looking for an industrious, inventive and talented Development Chef who oozes creativity and has gained invaluable NPD experience in a food manufacturing environment, ideally within the chilled convenience arena.

You will have honed your culinary skills from working in Michelin star restaurants and have been able to translate that experience into a food manufacturing where you can identify innovation opportunities, thinking outside the box to achieve market success.

You must have excellent communication and presentation skills as you will be presenting your product ideas to colleagues and customers alike, whilst collaborating with your team to strengthen the business and commercialise your ideas.
