About the role:
This role will ultimately be the Technical Lead for our Added Value business with ownership and accountability for all aspects of this Business unit.
This is a new venture to Noble Foods, developing Added Value to the core Egg product. The Technical Lead role therefore is both one to assure potential customers that all aspects of food safety and quality are embedded in day-to-day routines by the site and demonstrate flexibility to apply sound food safety principals to new and innovative products at speed and with enthusiasm.
Key Accountabilities
- Create the Food Safety and Quality Culture
- Set the food safety protocols through a robust HACCP study
- Lead in an active way from the front, food safety and quality reviews of KPI’s, seeking continuous improvement through real root cause analysis and preventative actions.
- Proactively work on customer relationships with the aim to be a preferred supplier.
- Compliance to relevant industry standards (including BRCGS Global Standard), corporate guidelines and all associated retailer codes of practice.
- Generation and control of all factory systems
- Work in collaboration with the development of production processes, engineering procedures and ways of working, people training, procurement practices and supplier approval.
- Assist in a leadership role in the preparation for customer audits
- Monitor and report non-conformances with customer and company standards
- HACCP and TACCP lead for site.
- Control of raw material suppliers and service providers.
- Management of Listeria prevention and allergen plans for site.
With the Technical Team:
- Focus on developing a real sense of a Team Working Well.
- Multi skill the team through a thorough training plan.
- Instill food safety and quality as the core of all work
- Identify training plans both professional and personal for team members for personal development and encourage take up of offers.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Technical Manager with direct customer facing responsibilities
- Experience in High Care
- A real interest and understanding of process development
- Strong analytical ability
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Experience of Retailer/Industry audits
- HACCP Level 3 Qualification minimum
