The Role: As a Blueberry Harvesting Machine Technician and Operator, you'll be more than just a technician - you'll be the guru of the farm, advising on best practices, maintaining, using, and repairing our cutting-edge Harvey 500's blueberry harvesting machines. This role offers an apprenticeship-style training program, where you'll dive deep into both the mechanical and electrical aspects of these innovative machines.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate blueberry harvesting machines with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure peak performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement enhancements.
- Set up harvesting beds for optimal yield.
- Work closely with management to meet production targets.
- Adapt machines to various geographical locations and climates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with combine harvesters or similar machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexibility to travel internationally for harvesting seasons.
- Passion for blueberry harvesting and commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication skills.
